Short Bio

Ulrike Tabbert is a Senior Public Prosecutor (Oberamtsanwältin) based in Germany and a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Huddersfield in the UK. She holds a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Huddersfield, her PhD thesis with the title Crime through a corpus: The linguistic construction of offenders, victims and crimes in the German and UK press can be accessed through the university repository.

Poetics and Linguistics Association where she is co-founder of a Special Interest Group in Crime Writing (CrimeSIG) and PALA ambassador to Germany
